i'll be popping up lush yummies in the shop all month long :) as time permits and the mood is right, i'll be dyeing, carding, spinning, and crafting for ya :) so check the shop as often as you like for some fibery hugs and kisses :) there's no telling what will be there! :)

and mark your calenders, the next BIG update will be my 35th birthday bash in mid-march!! now THAT will be a party you don't want to miss! :) heehee! :)

the totally 80's update!! :)

hee! i'm so excited for this next update!! :) :) like, for sure, for sure! :) :) its going to be totally rad and packed full with deLUSHous fiber yummies :) :)

i had such blast dyeing and carding and gathering yummies for this update! all the while listening (and singing and dancing!) to a totally awesome collection of 80's songs :) my faves span everything from metal hair bands to pop hits, new wave, glam rock, punk, hip hop and rock ballads :) have fun listening along to these great tunes below! :)

the Slumber Party update :)

YAY!!! i’m sooooo excited to host a super fun slumber party and YOU are invited!! :) remember how fun it was to giggle and gossip and play games and have silly girl time fun?? get your cozy pj’s on, fuzzy slippers, make a fruity martini or hot cocoa and have fun with us at the next shop update :)

i will be hosting a live meet-n-greet chat room, opened at 6:30pm, so we can be together and get settled in and then the update will hit at 7pm pst :)

there will be sweet little “thank-yous” tucked into every purchase… and super fun prizes too! :) i really hope you can make it :) :) its going to be lots of fun remembering the silly times we've all had :)

the Rocky Horror UPDATE :)

i am so excited about my next etsy shop update on Sunday, September 19th starting at 2pm PST :) this will be the LAST update until mid-november (after the BIG Torrance Fiber Festival on Nov. 7th) and this time, i'm going ALL OUT to provide a super fun party atmosphere for you :) so, what's the theme?? :) :)

i see you shiver, with antici-................................................pation! :)

that's right! in light of the upcoming Halloween holiday, i'll be listing lots of Lush Yummies loosely based on the awesome rock musical, "Rocky Horror Picture Show" :) :) there will be lots of Rocky Horror inspired Lush Stuffed art batts, yummy hand dyed locks, and some NEW yummies, too! :)

and the BEST part is: there will be a live audio-streaming soundtrack for the update and prizes to win!!! :) if we click on the PLAY button at exactly 2:00pm pst, we will all be in sync at the double-feature "showing" together :) you can even "pop out" the player into its own window and keep the etsy shop open as well :)

NEW! introducing hand dyed "Moonshine" mixes :) these yummies are full of mixed ingredients all simmering in one dye-pot, producing a wonderful concoction of colors and textures :) these are different from my "Martini Mixers" which are often gathered from several batches of hand dyed fibers :)

and... introducing kettle dyed Lush Rovings :) i've been experimenting a bit with kettle dying and finally have some unique hand dyed offerings for you :) but they are few and far between, so grab them while they're there :)

Lush Mommy goes Renegade... :)

i am finally coming up for air after preparing for my first ever craft show the past 3 months... it feels good to know it's only a few days away :) and i just realized that all my life i've LOVED playing "store," i loved setting up shop and pretending to ring up merchandise, and now i get to do it for real! :)

my debut will be at the Renegade Craft Fair in Los Angeles, July 24th & 25th :) check their website for directions and to check out all the artists who will be attending :)

with over 50 handspun yarns, and 40+ carded batts and hand dyed martini mixes, plus lots more fun goodies for sale, i think i am ready to hit the road! :)

...so a dear friend of mine sent me her stash of bamboo fiber and dyes to go with it, and wouldn't ya know it? i'm hooked!

it IS quite a bit different from kettle dyeing wool and protein fibers, but i love how the plant fibers really drink in the dyewater and have a brilliant, silky sheen... :)
